Realme, a Chinese smartphone maker, has launched the Realme GT 5G smartphone in its homeland. The premium device comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and has an LED strip on the back. At the time of filing, the company has not given any official hints at the release of the GT5 in India.

The smartphone offers a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED 10-bit screen with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It also comes with a pixelworks X7 independent display chip and supports up to 1400 nits of peak brightness. The device has a thickness of 8.9mm and weighs 205g. It has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Under the hood, the GT 5 boasts a second-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen series CPU and Adreno 740 GPU with an AI engine. Coming to memory, Realme offers up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.
As for the battery, it comes in two variants: a 4600mAh battery that supports 240W charging and a 5240mAh cell with 150W charging. Coming to optics, the phone has a 50MP Sony IMX 890 OIS main, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2 MP macro lens. On the front, the GT 5 gets a 16MP selfie shooter. Moving to connectivity, it has dual 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, IR Blaster, NFC and a USB Type-C charging port.

Realme GT5 5G starts from 2,999 yuan (roughly Rs 35,000) and the 1TB model with 24GB RAM retails for 3,799 yuan (around Rs 43,500). The mid-variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage (150W) is priced at 3,299 yuan (around Rs 37,400). It is available in two colour options: Green and Silver.
