Realme Neo 8 made its debut in China on Thursday; this is the latest in line in the Neo series from Oppo's subsidiary. This offering by Realme runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen series chipset and is paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. Available in three colourways, the device has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and also sports a triple camera setup at the back. Let's take a look at the device carefully.

Realme Neo 8 Features And Specs

The dual-SIM Realme Neo 8 runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 and comes with a large 6.78-inch full HD+ AMOLED display offering a sharp 1,272×2,772 resolution. The screen supports a smooth 165Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate, making scrolling and gaming feel extremely responsive. Built using Samsung’s M14 materials, the display can push brightness levels of up to 3,800 nits.

Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of fast UFS 4.1 storage, which should easily handle heavy multitasking and demanding apps.

On the camera side, the Realme Neo 8 features a triple rear setup that includes a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, also with OIS. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16-megapixel camera on the front. In the battery department the device packs a massive 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The device also comes with an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor for unlocking and authentication. For drop resistance it has armour glass for making it drop and scratch resistant. For locational optimisation and strong signals it has a Sky Signal Chip S1. The company has stated that the device is supposed to receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates. For connectivity it has Bluetooth 6.0, 5G, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, a USB Type-C port and Wi-Fi 7. The phone also comes with a myriad of sensors like proximity, gyroscope, accelerometer and more. Equipped with dual stereo speakers, the phone also boasts IP66+IP68+IP69.

Price And Availability

The device is currently priced at CNY 2,399, which is approximately Rs 33,000 for the base 12 GB RAM model with 256 GB storage. The 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB RAM and storage models are priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 35,000), CNY 2,899 (roughly Rs. 38,000), CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 41,000), and CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 48,000), respectively.
