The Redmi 17 5G has finally made its way to store shelves in India. The smartphone was launched in the country last week and is now available to buy, bringing a 6.9-inch display, a 7,900mAh battery and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset to Redmi's affordable smartphone range.

The new model replaces the Redmi 15 5G and comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also gets HyperOS 3, a 120Hz display and support for 5G connectivity.

Redmi 17 5G Price And Where To Buy

There are two RAM options for the Redmi 17 5G in India. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 23,999, while the version with 8GB RAM is priced at Rs. 26,999.

Redmi is selling the phone in three colours: Absolute Black, Endless Blue and Eternal Orange. The last of these gets a Vegan Leather finish, while the other two have a different finish.

The Redmi 17 5G is available through the Xiaomi India website, Amazon and Xiaomi retail stores across India.

What Does The Redmi 17 5G Offer?

The large 6.9-inch HD+ display is one of the first things that stands out about the Redmi 17 5G. It can run at up to 120Hz with AdaptiveSync and offers up to 825 nits of HBM brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Redmi has also added TÜV Rheinland certifications covering Low Blue Light, Flicker Free and Circadian Friendly viewing. For watching videos or listening to music, the phone comes with dual stereo speakers.

Inside, the Redmi 17 5G uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor. The phone gets up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, with the option to add up to 2TB of storage using a microSD card. It runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.

The camera setup is fairly straightforward. There is a 50-megapixel AI dual camera system on the back, while selfies and video calls are handled by an 8-megapixel front camera.

The phone also has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Its connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. There is a USB Type-C port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Big Battery Is One Of Its Main Highlights

The Redmi 17 5G gets a 7,900mAh battery, which is among the more notable parts of its hardware. It supports 45W fast charging and can also provide wired reverse charging at up to 22.5W.

The phone measures 170.12 x 78.42 x 8.8mm and weighs around 232g.
