Redmi, along with the India debut of its 5G iteration has also announced the Redmi 12 for entry-level smartphone buyers. The Redmi 12 looks pretty much similar to the 5G variant and also gets the crystal glass design, display, and fast charging support. However, it will not have 5G connectivity but gets the fan-loved features like an IR blaster, MIUI dialer and 3.5 mm jack.

The all-new Redmi 12 gets a similar 6.79-inch FHD display with the same 90 Hz refresh rate as its elder sibling. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 Processor which comes paired with up to 6 GB RAM and up to 128 GB storage. It also gets Dynamic 6 GB virtual RAM for better performance. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh Battery with 18 W fast charging support. The smartphone runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.

Speaking of the optics, the smartphone also gets a triple camera setup with a 50MP AI primary shooter. The smartphone also gets an 8 MP ultra-wide camera along with a similar 2 MP macro sensor. The smartphone also gets an 8 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The all new Redmi Note 12 is priced at Rs 8,999 for the base trim with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, while the top end with 6GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant costs Rs 10,499.
