JE Technology Desk: Redmi India has teased a new storage variant of the Redmi 12C that will launch in the country soon. Currently, the smartphone is available in two RAM and storage options: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. In the latest tweet by Redmi India, the phone is showcased with up to 7GB RAM (including virtual memory) and 128GB storage. We can speculate that the new variant will have 4GB of physical RAM.

While Redmi has not revealed a date in the poster, the smartphone is visible in two colour options: Lavender Purple and Mint Green. Besides the two, Redmi 12C also comes in Matte Black and Royal Blue shades. From the information live at the moment, we do not expect the addition of fresh colour options.

Redmi 12C Specifications

The smartphone has a 6.71-inch HD+ panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. Redmi 12C's screen has a peak brightness of up to 500 nits. Talking of the design, it is made of plastic and carries an IP52 water and dust rating.

Under the hood, the smartphone sports a MediaTek Helio G85 and Mali-G52 GPU. The internal storage mentioned above is expandable via the microSD card up to 1TB. The phone runs on MIUI 13, based on Android 12.

It has a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. On the back side, it has a 50MP primary camera and a 5MP front lens.

As for connectivity, the 12C 4G sports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro USB port for charging. For security, it sports a fingerprint reader on the back panel.

Redmi 12C Expected Price

The Redmi 12C carries a starting price of Rs 8,799 on the official website. On the other hand, the 6GB + 128GB option is available for Rs 10,799. The new 4GB + 128GB could sit in the middle of these two variants in the sub-Rs 9,500 bracket. You can avail Rs 500 instant discount via ICICI and HDFC bank cards.
