Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus vs Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus Price, Specs Comparison: Chinese smartphone maker Redmi announced the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in India on January 4, 2024. The device packs significant upgrades from its predecessor - Redmi Note 12 Pro+. However, these changes come at a steeper price than the last generation. So, which one should buy? The seasoned predecessor or the all-new refreshed Note?

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ vs Redmi Note 13 Pro+: Specifications

Display: Redmi Note 13 Pro+ boasts a 6.67-inch 1.5K curved OLED 120Hz 12-bit display with up to 1,800nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Its predecessor sports a flat 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with up to 900nits brightness and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Processor: The new device gets a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chip and Arm G610 MC4 GPU. Note 12 Pro+ sports a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 CPU and ARM Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for performance.

Software: The latest handset runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Note 12 Pro+, on the other hand, gets MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Xiaomi has promised three Android and four years of security patches with the Note 13 Pro+. The old model will only get two Android updates and four years of security patches (after launch).

Battery: Redmi's new handset gets a 5,000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge charging. The old model has a 4,980mAh battery with 120W charging.

Camera: Note 13 Pro+ gets a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro rear and 16MP selfie camera. On the other hand, the Note 12 Pro+ offers a 200MP HPX primary, 8MP UW, and 2MP macro rear lens and a 16MP selfie shooter.

Others: Redmi Note 13 Pro+ gets an IP68 rating. It also offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB-C port. Redmi's 12 series model gets Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, IR Blaster, and a Type-C port. For security, the 13 Pro+ gets an in-screen fingerprint reader compared to the side-mounted one on the 12 Pro+.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Price Comparison With Its Predecessor

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus' price starts in India from Rs 31,999 (8GB + 256GB). The 12GB +256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants will be available for Rs 33,999 and 35,999. On the other hand, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ starts from Rs 27,999 (8GB + 256GB) and goes up to Rs 30,999 (12GB + 256GB). The new smartphone comes in three colour options: Fusion Black, Fusion White and Fusion Purple. Note 12 Pro+ ships in Arctic White, Iceberg Blue and Obsidian Black.
