Redmi Smart Fire TV Arrives In India; First Sale On March 21 | Check Price And Specifications

XIAOMI India announced the launch of its Redmi Smart Fire TV on Tuesday. It is the company's first TV offering to come with Fire TV OS. While the first sale will go live on March 21, here is a specification overview to help you make a decision.

The Fire TV comes with a 32 inch HD 60Hz display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. A wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and a Vivid Picture Engine ensures 16M colours are optimised to deliver an immersive visual treat to the viewers. It has a premium meta bezel-less design with a 95.72 per cent borderless design across three sides. For controls, it ships with a voice remote with Alexa. Other dedicated buttons on the remote include Prime Video, Netflix, Amazon Music and more.

For computational power, it comes with a quad core Cortex A35 CPU with Mali G31 MP2 GPU. Talking of memory, it comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Now let's discuss the flashy highlight - the software. It comes with Fire OS 7. Xiaomi claims the app store has over 12,000 apps. Plus, tools like parental control, data monitoring and a smart home control hub are available in the UI. Another essential in a TV apart from a good screen is crisp audio. For sound, it comes with 20W speakers. The speakers support Dolby Audio, DTS Virtual:X and DTS-HD.

Speaking of connectivity options, it comes with Airplay, Miracast, Bluetooth 5.0 and Dual Band Wi-Fi. As far as essential ports are concerned, it comes with two USB 2.0 and HDMI (out of which one supports ARC) ports each. Plus, one Ethernet, AV, earphone and antenna. Lastly, as a bonus, the eco-packaging of the TV can be repurposed to a utilitarian form factor for storage of light items.
