Oppo has added another phone to its Reno 15 series in India, but the Reno 15c 5G isn’t being treated like the headline act. It launched alongside the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro and the Pro Mini this week, yet Oppo says this one will only go on sale in February, while the others arrive earlier.
What is exciting about the Reno 15c is that this is not what is being offered in China by the same company. It launched in China in December, but what is available in India is modified in some way, which is what usually happens when a market is considered different by Oppo.
In terms of pricing, the device begins at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM variant, while the 12GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 37,999. Storage capacity remains the same with 256GB. If or when this is launched in the market, this handset could be purchased in either Afterglow Pink or Twilight Blue variants, and would be available on Flipkart, Amazon, as well as Oppo's website.
The first thing that catches my eye is that it boasts a 6.57-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. Then there's Oppo's emphasis on brightness – it claims to be capable of a maximum of 1,400 nits. That should make it ideal for using outdoors. The engine behind this operation is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which uses a 4nm process. It’s not designed to be in a flagship but pairs nicely with up to 12GB of RAM and runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
Cameras are fairly straightforward. The back camera is capable of 50-megapixel resolution, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and macro photography; honestly, the average user is never going to use these cameras. However, a resolution of 50 megapixels is available in the front camera too. Both the rear and front cameras can record video at a resolution of up to 4K @30fps. This is one of the points the manufacturers are trying to highlight.
The primary flagship feature is the battery. This smartphone packs a huge battery of 7,000mAh capacity which is unimaginably huge as compared to other smartphones in the market. It supports 80W of Fast Charging. That alone tells you who this phone is for — people who care more about battery life than thin designs.

Connectivity is what you’d expect in 2026: 5G support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB-C port. Oppo is also claiming serious durability this time, with IP66, IP68 and even IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone weighs 195 grams and is just over 8mm thick.
That’s the Reno 15c 5G. Not flashy, not trying to be a Pro model, but clearly built around battery life and everyday use rather than specs on a poster.
