Samsung has finally introduced the highly anticipated Bixby Text Call feature, which will now give powers to Bixby, Samsung's virtual assistant, to answer and manage incoming calls using automated voice responses. With this users can manage their calls in a more efficient way, says the company in its blog post.
How To Setup Bixby Text Call:
For those who want to set up the new feature, they will have to visit Settings and then select Phone application and then select More Options. After that tap on the Bixby Text Call option and download the required language package. Soon after that, the users will be able to customise their responses and adjust other settings.
How To Use Bixby Text Call Feature:
Only incoming calls are eligible for this feature, and the caller will hear an automated voice. However, you must enable the feature while receiving the call by tapping on the Bixby text call option. The smart assistant will notify the caller that you are using this feature and will inquire about the caller's identity and reason for calling. When the caller speaks, it is transcribed on your screen so that you can respond later.
Viewing Bixby Text Call Conversation Logs:
The conversations will be saved in the phone app for future use, and you can access them by going to the Recents tab. The automated calls will be identified by a speech bubble icon, and users can obtain information by selecting the 'i' icon and viewing the transcript.
