SAMSUNG Galaxy S23 FE might be in the making after a series break. The South Korean giant is reportedly considering the launch of its latest S23 FE. Upgrade to the model is due since the launch of the S22 series last year.

Samsung’s Fan Edition (FE) handsets are comparatively affordable options similar to its flagship lineup of phones. In the past, the company has experimented to bring less-priced alternatives for buyers without a considerable decrease in the top-tier experience. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and S10 Lite were initial attempts to introduce this trend. Currently, the FE series meets these requirements.

While the company skipped the S22 FE, likely because of the chip shortfall during the pandemic and mediocre sales of Galaxy S21 FE compared to the S20 FE, reports are hinting towards the launch of the new S23 FE.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Expected Launch Date and Specifications

The company is yet to release an official statement concerning the model. However, Daily News Post quoting Daily Hanooki, a Korean Publication, in a report tipped that the phone could launch in the month of August or September.

Further, SamMobile, quoting a tipster (@OreXda) mentions the Galaxy S23 FE could feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This can be an attempt from the brand to keep the price at good terms for the buyers. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is manufactured by TSMC on 4nm fabrication process and has a clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz.

Galaxy S23 FE Expected Pricing

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, if launched in India is expected to be placed in the over 50 thousand price bracket, keeping in mind the current pricing of Galaxy S21 FE. The company unveiled the S23 series in February this year.

The phone is likely to compete with the likes of the OnePlus 11R. The latest offering from the Chinese manufacturer starts from Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB+128GB and goes to Rs. 44,999 for the 16GB+256GB variant.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is currently the latest offering of the FE series launched last year. The phone has a 6.4 inch Dynamic AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The camera setup is a 12MP Wide + 12 MP Ultra-wide + 8MP Telephoto on the rear and a 32MP front camera. It has a 4,500 mAh battery. It comes in two variants - 8GB +128GB priced at Rs. 49,999 and 8GB+256GB for Rs. 53,999 on the official Samsung website.
