SAMSUNG Galaxy has been silent on the S23 FE for a while now. This gave enough room to leakers and tipsters to speculate on its features and a possible debut. And in this latest thrill, SamMobile has reported that the handset will likely debut in Q4 of 2023. Here are the chunks of information from the report.

No Snapdragon under the hood

Further, the report suggests unlike the S23 series that launched with a Snapdragon processor, the S23 FE might embrace an Exynos chip. Most likely, it will pack the Exynos 2200 under the hood. Plus, the same chip is expected to debut in the USA too.

According to a GSMArena report, the same chip powered the S22 series in Europe. With this rumoured timeline in hand, the chip will grow two years old by the time (if at all) it gets soldered officially inside the S23 FE.

Exynos chips have been prone to problems in the past. It was evident from the reports of last year that the chip had throttling issues and battery-draining problems. Discussing most recent updates, Google Project Zero detected multiple vulnerabilities in Exynos modems that could allow a hacker to "remotely compromise" with just a phone number active inside a device running select Exynos chipsets.

Other expected specs

SamMobile learned that the S23 FE could sport a 50MP camera. Coming to memory, it will likely have two storage trims - 128GB and 256GB along with 6GB or 8GB RAM options. Coming to the battery, it will likely have a 4,500mAh power source with 25W charging. Do note the report does not refute 45W charging completely.

Finally, the model number highlighted in the report of the upcoming model is - SM-S711x. While some rumours and reports ( including ours), in the past, launched a farewell for the S23 FE, the fresh news hints at a positive outlook for the fan edition handset.

Meanwhile, the S23 series, in February 2023, debuted with three models - the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
