Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Leaks: Samsung appears to be planning an overhaul to their wireless charging ecosystem starting with next year's Galaxy S26 lineup, according to leaked retailer data obtained by WinFuture. According to this source, they're developing a 25W magnetic wireless charger compared to the 15W maximum speeds found on current charging pads from Samsung.
New EP-P2900 Wireless Charger With Full Qi2.2 Support
The charger, listed under model number EP-P2900, is said to support magnetic alignment built on the Qi2.2 standard. This differs from Samsung’s existing “Qi2 Ready” approach, which still relies on accessories rather than native phone-side magnets.

The EP-P2900 is expected to replace the current EP-P2400 15W Qi2 charger and arrive in a round form factor, matching the coil design required by Qi2’s magnetic orientation. Listings reportedly mention a dark grey finish and compatibility with Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and Galaxy Buds devices.

Galaxy S26 Series Could Get Built-In Magnets
For Samsung to deliver true 25W magnetic charging, the devices themselves must contain internal magnets. This strongly suggests that at least some Galaxy S26 models will feature integrated magnetic rings — similar to Apple’s MagSafe system.
This would remove the need for third-party magnet cases, unlock stronger accessory support, and enable faster charging speeds across Samsung’s ecosystem.
Charging Speeds May Vary by Model
Early details hint that the full 25W wireless rate may be exclusive to the top-tier model:
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: Up to 25W wireless
- Galaxy S26 / S26+: Expected to peak around 20W
Wired charging differences are also rumoured:
- S26: 25W
- S26+: Up to 45W
- S26 Ultra: Could reach 60W via Super Fast Charging 3.0
This would make the Ultra one of Samsung’s fastest-charging flagship phones to date.

Magnetic Accessory Ecosystem Incoming
With true Qi2.2 alignment, Samsung users could see a much broader range of magnetic add-ons, including:
- Car mounts
- Charging stands
- Power banks
- SSD modules
- Wallet attachments
Samsung has been slow to fully embrace magnetic charging, even after adopting Qi2 branding earlier this year. The EP-P2900 strongly suggests that changes are coming, aligning the S26 series more closely with other premium devices that already utilise magnets for wireless charging precision and speed.
If the leaks hold true, the Galaxy S26 generation could mark Samsung’s biggest wireless charging leap in years.
