Display Leaks

The S25 Ultra houses a 6.85-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which has enhanced brightness, resolution, and colours. Rumours are pointing towards the fact that the new Samsung S26 Ultra model would come with a similar 6.9-inch screen and a new Samsung M14 OLED display, which would be 20-30% more power-efficient than the Samsung S25 Ultra’s existing M13 OLED display. Although it may not make much of a difference in the viewing experience, it would be smarter and more efficient in its own right.

Chipset

The S25 Ultra, which is the current flagship by Samsung, runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the 'Galaxy' chip with 12GB RAM and One UI 7 based on Android 15, delivering flagship-level performance for gaming, multitasking, and photography. The S26 Ultra is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 “For Galaxy”, possibly built on a 2nm process, which could boost both performance and efficiency. RAM might also increase to 16GB, which would help heavy multitasking, AI tasks, and advanced photo processing.

Camera

The S25 Ultra comes with a quad-camera design, with a 200MP main camera, 50MP+50MP auxiliary cameras, and a 10MP telephoto camera. The S26 Ultra is said to retain the same 200MP main sensor but with an opening aperture of f/1.4, while the telephoto combination may receive an upgrade in terms of 3x and 5x telephoto cameras with clearer images in the background.

Battery and charging

The S25 Ultra comes with a 5000 mAh battery and 45 W wired charging. The S26 Ultra may receive a slight increase in battery capacity to 5100-5400 mAh and should finally receive 60 W wired charging, which can charge the battery from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes. Along with the improved display, it could be the most noticeable improvement.

Software and Support

The S25 Ultra supports One UI 7 on Android 15, with Samsung leading the way regarding offering long-term support for Android updates. The new S26 Ultra could feature One UI 8 based on Android 16, which will have advancements in the field of user experience and customisation options, as well as the functionality for productivity. Although it might not be a desirable upgrade otherwise, it is definitely going to make the new Ultra more future-ready.
