SAMSUNG is among the top choices for tablets if we consider a premium Android experience on big screens. The South Korean company offers good hardware and software combinations in the high-end S lineup of tablets. Currently, the Galaxy Tab S8 is the latest offering and going by recent reports, Samsung is preparing for the S9 lineup of tablets.
The new Tab S9 series will have Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra similar to the current S8 catalogue, SamMobile writes.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Expected Specs
The upcoming tablets are said to come with an IP67 rating for water, splash and dust resistance, the report adds. If this turns out to be true, it will be the first water and dust-resistant series in the S line of tablets from the South Korean tech giant. While the 'Ultra' variant is expected to be the most premium offering, all three models will likely come with Wi-Fi(only) and 5G options.
The gadgets will likely run on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 and have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for performance. Plus, improvements in camera and audio setup are expected. The question of OLED displays in all three tablets is still not clear. Presently, the company offers an LTPS LCD in the Tab S8 and Super AMOLED in the other two.
