Samsung which has been in the headlines around speculations of its Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 launch is official. The smartphone manufacturing giant has announced that its Galaxy Unpacked Event will take place in the last week of July in Seoul which is the capital of South Korea. Additionally, it is also expected that the Watch 6 and Tab S9 series would also make their debut during the event.
Speaking of specifics, according to the company's press release, the Unpacked event will take place at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, at the intersection of Teheran-ro and Bongeunsa, a modern Buddhist temple. The business has declared that this offers a chance to experience the intriguing fusion of the past, present, and future that likewise describes Seoul.
Interestingly, Samsung has pre-scheduled Unpacked 2023, despite the fact that the event has always taken place in August each year. "Having Unpacked in Seoul is significant because it is a city that has emerged as an emerging epicentre of innovation and culture, as well as the foldable category," said TM Roh, president and head of Samsung Electronics' mobile experience (MX) business.
On the other hand, the foldable has gained a significant amount of growth in the industry, and other smartphone makers including Oppo, Moto, and Tecno have also stepped into the market and are the reason why Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are highly anticipated all over the world.
However, the company has not announced any specific details about the upcoming phones, Unpacked 2023 event, and more but is expected to reveal it soon.
Meanwhile, OnePlus and Moto have also generated a significant amount of buzz in the industry as they are all set to reveal their iteration of foldable phones in India. Moto Razr 40, Moto Razr 40 Ultra has already been teased and it is hinted that the launch is imminent. On the other hand, OnePlus is also working on its first-ever fold and said it is in the pipeline. The reports suggest that OnePlus may make a Global debut in the month of August in an event that will take place in London.
