The event is set to take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in San Jose, California, the event is here to showcase the flagship series smartphones and much more and will set the stage for what trajectory Samsung will take for the rest of the year. As usual, fans, enthusiasts and even common buyers are enthralled to witness what Samsung has to reveal in this Galaxy Unpacked event, with flagship series smartphones and much more.
The event kicks off at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT/6 p.m. GMT/ 11:30 pm IST, and while only invitees will be able to attend in person, Samsung will livestream the entire show for the global audience. Viewers can tune in via Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and the official Samsung YouTube channel to watch the live stream, as well as catch trailers and teasers about what we can expect to see.
Samsung usually has a habit of holding two Galaxy Unpacked events in one year, the first event's major focus being the S series flagships and the second event puts more focus on the foldable series such as the Galaxy Z Fold Series. This time around the Galaxy Unpacked is expected to showcase a range of exciting hardware, as well as software enhancements, including the much-awaited One UI 7.

Galaxy S25 Series: What We Know So Far
The star of this year’s Galaxy Unpacked will undoubtedly be the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung is all set to mesmerize its fans with the flagship S series smartphones this time, and with a few leaks of design and specs here and there fans can expect an upgrade in both design and features.
However, not all of the buzz around the Galaxy S25 series is positive. There are speculations and concerns about a potential price hike for the new devices, and others argue that the spec improvements may not feel like a significant leap forward. Samsung will need to showcase the new phone's capabilities to make sure that fans feel that it was worth the wait and is also worth the investment.
The S series Smartphones will not be the only thing that the fans will be anticipating this time around, there’s also anticipation surrounding Samsung’s new One UI 7 interface, which is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S25 series. One UI 7 is expected to bring a host of new features, including a Writing Assist tool, improved call transcript support in multiple languages, security upgrades, and a redesigned lock screen with a new Now bar. A beta version of One UI 7 was recently tested on the Galaxy S24, offering a sneak peek into these upcoming changes.
Pre-Order Perks
Samsung is once again offering exclusive pre-order perks for early buyers. To take advantage of this offer, all you need to do is reserve your device on Samsung's website. By entering your name and email, you can secure a $50 discount on any pre-order placed after the event. With rumors of a price hike for the S25 series, this discount could be a welcome relief for prospective buyers.
Introducing Project Moohan: Samsung’s XR Headset
In addition to its flagship smartphones, Samsung is also expected to reveal a new venture into augmented and virtual reality with the Project Moohan headset. This XR headset, developed to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro, is powered by the Snapdragon XR Plus Gen 2 chip and offers multiple window views for multitasking. The device allows users to switch between two modes: Home Space (a multitasking view) and Full Space (which appears to offer immersive AR capabilities).
The headset is designed in a way that it is capable of supporting inputs, including eye tracking and voice control, which will provide an interactive and hands-free user experience. All said the major concern that surrounds Project Moohan is its pricing. Apple’s Vision Pro received mixed reactions due to its price tag which was a bit too heavy on the pocket, so it is a fair question to ask whether Samsung’s XR headset will be more affordable and accessible for a broader audience.
Final Thoughts
With no time left for the Galaxy Unpacked event to take place, anticipation and excitement continue to build. From the new Galaxy S25 series and One UI 7 to the highly anticipated Project Moohan headset, the event promises to reveal some groundbreaking innovations.
