SAMSUNG is expected to bring its Galaxy Watch6 Series in the second half of 2023. While we await the launch of the new smartwatches, leaks and rumours have started to reveal the key specifications of the upcoming wearable.
According to GSMArena, after the 3C certification, the battery specs of the Galaxy Watch6 series have come to light. The lineup will have four variants in total. The Watch6 will come in two dimensions - 40mm and 44mm, as per 3C listing. And Watch6 Classic will have a 42mm and 46mm variant.
The smaller variant of both watches will come with a 300mAh battery. While the upper-end models will have a 425mAh battery, the tech platform adds. This is an upgrade from the Watch5's 284mAh for the 40mm and 410mAh for the 44mm variant. A point worth mentioning is that these are leaked specifications and might change in the actual model.
A larger battery pack would ensure longer backup on the wearable compared to its predecessor. The flagship watch series from the South-Korean giant competes with the smartwatches from Apple and Google.
Previous leaks suggested that the rotating bezel might make a comeback in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch6Pro, according to leakster Super Roader. And Watch6 series will likely come with Corning Gorilla Glass DX, constructed from titanium or steel with a range of activity monitoring sensors, according to Gizmochina.
Meanwhile, the latest offering, the Watch5 40mm with Bluetooth 5.2, comes with a Super AMOLED display, dual-core processor, Wear OS by Samsung, and up to 40 hours of battery life. For connectivity, it comes with Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and more.
Galaxy Watch5's 44mm model has similar specs except for a bigger battery of 410mAh. Sensors on both include Optical Heart Rate Sensor, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Geomagnetic Sensor and more. Though the official date of the launch is yet to be out, the Watch5 series debuted in August last year.
