Samsung is getting ready to issue One UI 8, its upcoming proprietary version of Android based on Android 16. This new update will enhance performance for Galaxy phones, tablets, and foldables with some design tweaks, smarter AI capabilities, and more enhanced security features.
As of now, One UI 8 is still under active internal testing, and there are no public stable releases available right now—but the upgrades look encouraging.

Other Galaxy flagships: Initial updates available in about 1-2 months.
Mid-range and older devices: Estimated timeline for receiving One UI 8 is by late 2025 to early 2026.

How to Check for the One UI 8 Update
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Software Update
3. Select Download and Install
4. Follow the on-screen instructions
Updates are not display immediately and you must keep and eye on the update or enable the auto-download for the immediate new software downloads.
Tip: If you want early access, Beta registration for One UI 8 may become available through the Samsung Members app for select devices.
