Samsung is readying to launch its next flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but the rumour mill didn't wait for that and has painted a pretty clear picture of the device. From the launch timeline to design tweaks and powerful internals, here is all we know so far.

Samsung has kept up a tradition of launching its premium Galaxy S series early into the year, nearly around January. Continuing that trend, the Galaxy S26 Ultra can be expected to make its global launch in January 2026. However, some recent leaks indicate that the launch in India could happen slightly later in March 2026.

It seems like Samsung wants to perfect the design instead of trying to reinvent it. The S26 Ultra is rumoured to have a slightly different rear setup, ditching its signature floating camera design in favour of an enclosed island design.
On the photography front, the phone could sport a quad-camera system — a 200MP primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera. A 12MP front sensor is expected for selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.9-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and reach a peak brightness of as high as 3000 nits, one of the brightest in the industry.
