Samsung, on the other hand, is trying to take on the big dogs with the Galaxy S25 Edge, a potential iPhone 17 Air rival. With all these new phones on the horizon, let's have a look at what's coming our way over the next month.

Big Smartphone Launches This Month – May 2025

Here is a compilation list of smartphones that you can look forward to in May 2025.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung has been showing the Galaxy S25 Edge for quite a while, but it is about time we received an official announcement alongside a clear reveal event. Most media outlets believe that the launch event will occur in April, but it seems the company has had to change its plans, which suggests the event could potentially be in May. Rumours even say the Galaxy S25 Edge launch could really be on May 13, which is merely a few weeks away, but so far no official confirmation has been given yet.

Galaxy S25 Edge is assumed to have the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and integrates AI Suite 2023; this is why it is being branded as the Super Powered Edge. As for the display, it seems to be a 6.6 inch AMOLED but with a more advanced 120Hz smoother refresh rate. However the top tier feature of this new Smartphone will be its lightweight and sleek design that is believed to be below 162 g and only 5.84 mm thick.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is said to most likely have a 3,900 mAh battery for reserve power along with supporting 25W charging to be as thin as possible. Despite that though, these ultra thin designs could cause issues for the new flagship.

OnePlus 13s

After much anticipation, the confirmation reveals that the OnePlus 13s is expected to be released in India around mid May 2025. There will be updates following the first announcement in 2025 as other details are revealed.

OnePlus, in an ambiguous way, is expected to not make any changes to the OnePlus 13T and switch it internally to 13s for India. The OnePlus 13s will now be the third product of the OnePlus 13 series and with this the company figure will complete 13R.

Steve from OnePlus already described that along with 13T and the OnePlus 13s, 13 is in the title that makes them two models s. And it is already confirmed that the 13s is a flagship series device will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with OnePlus confirming and will be on a 6.32 inch display. This device is more favorable for users who prefer small phones without compromising on features. Besides that, the OnePlus 13s will be available in the two colors of black and pink. The OnePlus 13s is expected to be priced around 55,000 rupees which is competitive against other devices in the series at this cost as it is likely reserved to be repositioned as a mid range device.

Realme GT 7

Realme GT 7 is now preparing for its launch in India. Realme has already teased the smartphone’s launch on social media, boasting about its gaming features.

The device is confirmed to sustain up to six hours of gameplay on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) with high frame rates. It is expected to join the series as the Realme GT 7 Pro is anticipated to be one of the latest additions of gaming smartphones in India.

The smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, alongside 1TB of internal storage and 16GB of RAM. The device operates on Realme UI 6.0 which is built on Android 15.

Poco F7

Poco F7 is expected to go global in May and we might see the launch of the device in India alongside the F7 Ultra. The new Poco F-series phone is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and up to 16GB RAM turning it into a hardcore performance beast.

It is believed to have an 6.8 inch AMOLED screen and an astonishing 75mAh battery with possible 90W charging. The phone is expected to receive an IP69 rating with a dual rear camera setup.iQOO Neo 10

Recently, iQOO Neo 10R was launched in India and now it seems iQOO is also planning to bring the Neo 10 version to the country. iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ will be introduced in China next month and there are the rumors that the iQOO Neo 10 model for India could be the same variant. The leaks suggest that the Neo 10 could be flagship level with high-end features including large battery with 120W charging, dual rear cameras, and OLED display.
