Sony has kicked off its holiday sale in India, and is now giving a flat ₹5,000 cut on the PlayStation 5. The offer is valid for the PS5 Digital Edition and the PS5 Disc Edition, and will go live on all prominent online and offline retailers from September 22, 2022.

The discount is available for sale through October 19, 2025, or while supplies last. Cine-lenses buyers can avail of the offer on Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Croma, Reliance Digital-Vijay Sales-Sony Center and other authorised PlayStation retailers.
PS5 Price Hike History in India
Sony’s current discount is on the heels of a series of price changes:
- The PS5 Digital Edition was introduced in India at ₹39,990 before its price rose to ₹49,990 back in July 2025 due to a ₹5,000 increase.
- At the time of writing, the PS5 Disc Edition has been holding strong at ₹54,990 since launch.
- Sony has, globally, increased the prices of PS5 and PS5 Pro to account for tariffs and economic conditions including in the US, UK, EMEA and Australia.
