Sony has a long tradition of celebrating major AAA launches with limited-edition hardware, and it’s continuing that streak for Sucker Punch Productions’ upcoming title, Ghost of Yotei. The action-adventure game, seen as the successor to Ghost of Tsushima, releases on October 2, and fans will be able to pick up themed PS5 consoles, DualSense controllers, and console covers inspired by the new game.

Preorders and India Launch Buzz

The designs are already up for preorder worldwide, with availability set for October 2. Reports now suggest that India could also be included in the rollout. According to IGN, sources indicate the Ghost of Yotei DualSense controllers may arrive in the country soon. Prices are expected to be around ₹7,490, matching what Sony charged for other special-edition controllers like the Death Stranding 2 release.

Controller Designs With Japanese Flair

Two variants are being offered – black and gold – both etched with game-inspired art. The standout gold edition draws from kintsugi, the Japanese craft of repairing broken pottery with gold, symbolising beauty in imperfection. Additional motifs reference Atsu’s Ghost mask and her in-game map, with hand-drawn icons adding subtle detail. Each controller also includes a silhouette of Atsu and a maker’s seal engraved with PlayStation symbols.

Console Bundles Still Uncertain for India

While Sony has confirmed the themed PS5 bundles and console covers for international markets, it’s not yet clear if they’ll arrive in India. The bundles, which pair a Ghost of Yotei PS5 with a matching DualSense controller, are priced at $599.99 in the U.S. and would likely sit near ₹55,000 if launched here.

A Collector’s Item for Indian Fans

Even if the full console bundles don’t make it, the special-edition controllers alone could become a highlight for Indian fans. They deliver the usual haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, wrapped in a collector’s finish tied to one of PlayStation’s most anticipated releases this year.
