Sony has officially launched the Xperia 10 VII, its newest mid-range smartphone, in some of the world's major markets. The premium dual-SIM phone offers a decent combination of performance, battery life, and camera features, all packed into a thin, stylish frame.

Key Features & Design

Xperia 10 VII features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED screen with a silky 120 Hz refresh rate, shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It comes in three colours: white, turquoise, and charcoal black.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB through microSD. It comes pre-installed with Android 15.

Camera Setup

At the back, Sony has stuffed in a dual-camera system headed by a 50MP Exmor RS sensor and aided by a 13MP ultra-wide lens. There's an 8MP front-facing camera with a 78° wide field of view for selfies.

Battery and Durability

The Xperia 10 VII has a 5,000mAh battery for full-day use. It is dust and water resistant with ratings of IP65/IP68, and the premium design gets an added layer of durability. The phone is as light as 168 g and as thin as 153×72×8.3 mm in size.

Connectivity & Extras

The connectivity features are Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Google Cast, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone supports Nano SIM and eSIM.

Price & Availability

Pricing begins at EUR 399 (around ₹42,000) and GBP 449 (around ₹47,000). The Xperia 10 VII can be pre-ordered from September 12 in regions such as the UK, the EU, and Japan. It won't likely be available in India, though, since Sony has closed down its smartphone business there.
