Starlink subscription Plan Price Update: Starlink, Elon Musk-led SpaceX’s satellite internet project, has finally shared its residential internet plan pricing details in India. The announcement is a big step forward for the company’s much-delayed push into India, where it hopes to provide high-speed internet access in rural and underserved parts of the country.
In addition to pricing information, Starlink has disclosed key features of its residential offering while laying early foundations for expanding service throughout the country.

Starlink Monthly Price and What It Includes
As per the modified Starlink India website, the consumer satellite internet service will come at Rs. 8,600 per month. This price is inclusive of the satellite dish and other associated hardware worth Rs33 000. India would have bundled equipment into its Starlink subscription, unlike in some of the global markets where hardware is charged separately, according to reports.
Key highlights of the residential plan include:
- Unlimited data usage
- A 30-day trial period
- Plug-and-play setup with minimal installation effort
- Claimed uptime of over 99.9 cent
- Performance designed to work reliably across weather conditions
Starlink says users just need to power up the device and connect, an alternative for areas with unreliable or no traditional broadband infrastructure.
Business Plans Yet to Be Announced
Although residential pricing has been revealed, Starlink is yet to reveal its business internet or enterprise internet options for the Indian market. These are going to be announced in the next few days and will have a higher price point, appealing to enterprises, smaller remote offices or any mission-critical connectivity that is required.

Expansion Plans and Hiring in India
The price update from Starlink even as SpaceX gears up to move faster in India is quite telling. In late October, the company posted several advertisements on LinkedIn for the Bengaluru office, such as payments, accounting and taxation, and treasury. The postings said the hiring push was part of a wider international expansion for Starlink.

Moreover, there have been several reports that Starlink wants to establish gateway earth stations in cities like Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Noida. These stations will serve as vital connections between SpaceX’s satellites and user terminals on the ground.
Regulatory Progress in India
Earlier this year, Starlink was said to have won a vital licence from the DoT that enables it to utilise satellite spectrum for commercial service in India for five years. With its pricing now public, the company seems to be closer than ever to rolling out its service nationwide.
