SEVERAL reports have hinted that Motorola is prepping for a launch of a foldable handset this year. The Lenovo-owned company showcased a rollable phone at the MWC 2023. And latest reports claim the Motorola Razr Lite could be an upcoming offering in the foldable lineup from the company.

The (supposed) Razr Lite, according to MySmartPrice, will be an affordable version of the Razr foldable series that could debut this year. No details about the launch timeline are official yet. However, going a step forward, the platform revealed design details and renders of the alleged device in collaboration with OnLeaks.

In the renders shared by MySmartPrice, the phone is seen folding horizontally to cut its footprint in half. On the front, it has a centre punch hole at the top. Bezels around the screen are considerably thin for an immersive multimedia experience. It likely has a matte finish on the back with some glossy accents. On the back, a Motorola logo with the Razr branding is evident.

When folded, the cover display can be used for limited purposes. Owing to the small size, its functionality would be heavily restricted. For instance, it might come in handy to check notifications and time.

Next to the cover screen sits the dual camera array with a flash. Owing to the antenna lines visible on the curved frame, we can speculate it could have metal construction. A power button and two volume buttons are evident on the right side of the rim. The phone can be seen in a classy black colour. Further, the company might name it Razr 2023, the report claims.

The renders are earning buzz as Yuanqing Yang, CEO of Lenovo, in an interview with CNBC, shared that the successor to the Razr foldable phone will debut "very soon." Further, speaking about the unreleased product, he adds, "I think it's much better." Improvements to the hinge would be emphasised, the CEO states.
