Amazon Alexa speakers are renowned in India for their voice-enhanced capabilities to accept commands from a user. While people use it to play songs, set timers and many other activities, a girl in UP used Alexa voice assistant to scare away monkeys with her quick thinking and swift presence of mind. As a result, the 13-year-old saved her little niece from the possible attacks of the monkeys.

According to ANI, Nikita used the technology to ward off the monkeys which entered their house. She told Alexa to bark with a plan that a dog's voice may scare the animal away. On the expected lines, the idea worked. The incident took place when the girl and her niece were playing in a room in their house in Basti, Uttar Pradesh.

While other members were in different rooms, the monkeys entered the place and started searching for food while moving the utensils in the kitchen. As a monkey headed closer to Nikita, she immediately asked Alexa to bark. Once this happened, the monkey moved out of the house from the balcony in fear.

"A few guests visited our home and they left the gate open. Monkeys entered the kitchen and started throwing things here and there. The kid was scared and so did I but then I saw Alexa and asked it to play the sound of a dog. Because of that barking sound, the monkeys were scared and ran away," Nikita told ANI.
