JE Technology Desk: Vi (Vodafone Idea) regularly updates its offers and recharge catalogue to serve its existing user base. While we often hear about new prepaid recharge plans from Vi, this time, the telecom service provider has leapt forward to offer discounts worth Rs 2,400 on recharges. Users using a Vi SIM and who upgrade to a 4G/5G smartphone can take advantage of the new announcement. However, it comes with a set of terms and conditions.

Vi Smartphone Program: How to avail discounts on recharge?

To avail of the discount, a user must be an existing Vi customer and must upgrade to a 4G/5G device. Plus, this offer will apply to users who buy a Vi SIM and use it on a new 4G/5G smartphone. However, Vi notes: "The 4G/5G smartphone should not have been part of the Vi network for the last 6 months."

Once eligible, users will receive an SMS with instructions on how to avail of the discount coupons within 24 hours. Customers must recharge with a Hero Unlimited pack (of over Rs 299 value) within 30 days of upgrading their device to receive recharge coupons.

Once you complete the process, head to the Vi app on your smartphone. Look for the 'My Coupons' section, and check if the coupons have been added here. You can come back to this section to avail Rs 100 discount on every Vi Hero Unlimited recharge you complete in the next 24 months.

Moreover, to cross-verify eligibility or for any questions, Vi customers can visit the nearest store or retail outlet.

Vi Smartphone Program: Availability

According to Vi's terms and conditions document, the offer is active till September 30, 2023. This offer is only available in "Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Haryana" only.
