Soon after reports of the green line issue on OnePlus smartphones, several users are now taking to social media to report display issues with Vivo and Motorola handsets. The instances of users reporting about the incident are on the rise after a system update, according to The Tech Outlook. While some companies reportedly offer a free replacement during the warranty period, this can become a serious problem after the warranty period is over.

Citing an X user (@yogeshyaa), the report shared instances when a green line appeared on displays of the Motorola G82 and Motorola G52 smartphones. A few other instances on X also highlight that the issue may also exist on the Moto G72 and Moto Edge 30. In these cases, a user may be denied free repairs if the product is out of warranty.

Do note that the case is not limited to these smartphones, scattered reports on the microblogging platform hint the issue may also affect other Motorola smartphones such as Moto G45 5G, Moto Edge 20 Pro, and more. Here are a few more instances from X

Apart from Motorola, the faulty display issue also affects Vivo's flagship smartphones, the report added. The X user highlighted cases of a green line on display on the Vivo X80 and X70 Pro Plus. In the case of the X80, the company is reportedly charging users Rs 14,000 to fix the issue. Here are the instances from X.

In most of these cases, the green line appears after a software update. However, a clear reason remains unknown as the respective brands have not issued a statement. The green line issue has been a major concern recently, notably on Android smartphones.

OnePlus and Samsung have offered free screen replacements for select smartphone models affected by the green line issue in the past. Other smartphone makers have not addressed the concern via a public announcement or offered free repairs outside the warranty duration.
