In previous years, OnePlus has been a magnet for such blunders including display, the OnePlus 12R storage blunder, and so on. Users of old phones are now experiencing display lines, and it appears that the issue is not repairable for free.

We know motherboard repairs can be costly, but we're working hard to make them more affordable. We ask that any customers that are affected by a similar issue get in contact with Customer Service so we can help resolve the situation as soon as possible,’ the company said in a press release.

According to the user, he "downloaded the update suggested by my phone, then opened Hotstar and received OTP for login, my phone started beeping continuously and froze. When I tried to restart it, it died off."
