WhatsApp has been the most popular communication tool on iOS, Android, and the web. The Meta-owned instant messaging network has been in use for some time and has evolved into an essential tool for daily communication. However, users used to have difficulty finding earlier essential messages, but this is no longer the case. WhatsApp has finally announced a new feature that allows users to search their messages by date on Android. The capability has been available on iOS and the web for some time.

This comes after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the function, which allows users to search for past karaoke chats on WhatsApp. It demonstrates how users may search through their chats and retrieve specific messages on specific days just by entering the date.

WhatsApp Search By Date Feature On Android: How To Use It

1. The user will have to open WhatsApp and go to the chat in which he or she wants to search for the message. It can be either a group or individual chat.

2. After you enter the chat look out for the three dots also known as the chat details option. It will be present on the top right of the screen. Tap on it and access the menu.

3. Now Tap on the Search menu and you will see a variety of options. Look for Search and tap on it.

4. After tapping on it, choose the date from the calendar icon and select the date scrolling through the months or days. You have to select the particular date you’re interested in searching for the messages.

5. After selecting the date, WhatsApp will show you the messages of the particular chat from that date.

6. With this you can even scroll through the messages and read what messages were sent and received on that day.

Meanwhile, the company has also introduced the Text formatting feature in which it has added bulleted lists, numbered lists, block quotes, and inline code. These features are available for users present on iOS, Android, Web and Mac.
