Meta's WhatsApp gets regular limelight for introducing new features within the app. Soon after the news that the platform is testing AI-powered image editing, the company is now developing a feature to let users ask queries to Meta AI. According to WABetaInfo, the option will likely be available in an upcoming version of the app.

Due to its "under development" character, the feature is not rolling out to beta testers at the time of filing. According to the report, the option was spotted in the Android beta "2.24.7.14" version. The new 'Ask Meta AI' option may allow users to enter queries in the search bar of WhatsApp and receive answers via the company's AI tool.

Based on the screengrab shared in the report, after a user enters 'What is WABetaInfo', an option to use Meta AI may show up. Moreover, other pre-defined prompts are also visible in the screenshot, which include 'Jokes about birds', 'Fire dancing videos', Imagine a robot boss' and more. The option to enter queries in the search bar could eliminate the need to manually open Meta AI for a chat.

By tapping the query in the Meta AI subset or the suggested prompts, users can initiate conversations with the chat and improve the AI-based assistance for the app. With the new tool, users can get information, assistance and other tasks. Besides saving time, the feature can enhance the convenience and accessibility of using Meta AI.
