WhatsApp has been working on a range of improvements to improve the user experience and application user interface. WhatsApp, like consumers, is home to millions of businesses that carry out everyday duties such as connecting with their clients. In the most recent update, the Meta-owned platform is working on a new update that will change the green ticks of verified businesses on the platform to blue, as the blue tick is perceived as having greater respect by users. Furthermore, it will help to preserve the contrast with other applications such as Instagram and Facebook, a report added.

According to WaBetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature and news reporting website, the capability will be added with the next version. New businesses will receive blue check marks, while current verified firms will see a blue checkmark replaced from a green checkmark. The function is currently in development, and the platform is testing it with a restricted group of users.

Meta also seeks to provide a single look to all WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook users. Take notice that the blue tick will be a symbol of legitimacy, ensuring that users are connecting with an authentic and reliable source. Furthermore, it appears that the platform tries to limit the risk of impersonation by gaining the users' trust.

The feature is now available to select Android beta testers who have downloaded the WhatsApp Beta from the Google Play Store. The feature is scheduled to become available to general users in the coming weeks.
