WHATSAPP, a popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta, has finally introduced a new feature that would allow users to share their status more conveniently with all the other social media platforms owned by Meta. Earlier, Instagram had the option of sharing the status with Facebook and now the company has introduced it to WhatsApp as well.

According to a recent company announcement, all users will now be able to share their WhatsApp status to Facebook stories if they enable the Facebook auto-sharing option. WhatsApp users, like Instagram users, could share their stories on Facebook at the same time. However, users must enable the status-sharing option in the settings because it is disabled by default.

The feature is currently being rolled out in a phased manner globally and will be available for everyone in the coming weeks. After the feature is rolled out, a user can follow these steps to enable the same.

1. Share a media file on your WhatsApp story.
2. Once the story has been shared, you will see a setup option to enable Facebook story share status.
3. Select Setup.
4. Follow the directions.
5. When you enable this feature, all of your WhatsApp status updates will be automatically shared on Facebook as well.
6. You can also disable Facebook sharing at any time by following the same steps.

Furthermore, the company has officially announced that the new Status sharing feature is completely safe and will be end-to-end encrypted. Even the users can continue to select who can see their status. Users are only required to share the bare minimum of information with Facebook if they choose to share their status, the company added.

Meanwhile, the company is reportedly working on the animated emoji feature. However, a report by WaBetaInfo says the feature is currently under development.
