WhatsApp has been working on a variety of features which help users do their tasks with great ease and save time. In the latest update, the company has introduced filters, a new way for users to organise their chats. Now users can manage their groups and individual chats using the new filters and is available on both Android and iOS devices.

The new filters option will help users categorise the read, unread, and group messages and let them access such messages on the top of the home screen for quicker approach and faster response. The update has already started rolling out and if you have not got the feature, you may get it in the coming weeks with the new update.

Coming to the feature, includes three filters, including read, which displays all read messages from individual conversations and groups. The second one is unread, which will contain all unopened communications from groups and people. Last is the group, which will include all of the groups with unread messages at the top.

The functionality has been in beta testing for some time and is currently being phased out in preparation for general release. In a Facebook post, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote, 'Rolling out conversation filters on WhatsApp so you can identify critical messages quicker.' The message is clear: assist individuals get to unread messages and respond to them faster.

To access the features faster, ensure that you have the most recent version of WhatsApp installed on your device from the Google Play Store or App Store.
