WhatsApp which has been working on a slew of new features to ease out the efforts that take users a lot of time, is now reportedly rolling out the highly anticipated screen share to Windows for the beta testers. With this feature, the platform aims to help the users share screen while on the video calls selecting the specific option available within the video call bottom control.
According to a report by WaBetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature reporting website, the platform is rolling out the feature in stages and it would be available for users globally with the upcoming updates. The users can use the feature by choosing a dedicated button and sharing the complete screen with every other user on the call, just like Google Meet, Zoom, and other video calling platforms.
According to reports, the platform's goal with this is to provide a one-stop solution for individuals who must rely on third-party applications. "With the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2322.1.0 update, which is now available on the Microsoft Store, some beta testers may try out a new feature when making video calls: a screen-sharing option."
The report also mentioned, "This feature was previously released to a small group of users after installing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.19 update."
Meanwhile, the platform is also rolling out a message editing feature to the Windows Beta. As per the reports, the company has started rolling out the feature which allows the Windows Beta user to edit their messages within 15 minutes of sending. The feature is currently under beta testing and would be rolled out with the upcoming updates.
Previously, WhatsApp has also added a crop tool for the drawing editor in Windows Beta which allows users to crop their images from the application itself.
