WhatsApp, which has been steadily releasing new capabilities for all eligible platforms, has now begun to roll out the edit tool to Windows beta testers. According to a report, this indicates that all Windows beta testers can change messages they have sent to other users.

However, users can only make changes to a message within 15 minutes of sending it. Additionally, messages sent using separate devices cannot be edited. This feature will be useful since occasionally when typing fast or with autocorrect on, we send messages that contain mistakes or wrong information.

The feature is only limited to beta testers on Windows and would soon be available for public users with the upcoming updates in the coming future, says a report by WaBetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature reporting website.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has already disclosed this message-editing functionality. A new crop feature for the Windows beta graphics editor was reportedly being rolled out by the messaging platform last week. Users may crop their photographs more easily with the tool by using it within the app itself.

Meanwhile, the company has also added the ability to send HD-quality photographs to others on the platform itself for the beta testers. Users are currently unable to exchange high-quality photographs, and WhatsApp reduces the size and quality of images in order to process and distribute them quickly.

However, the latest report suggests that users will have the choice to send HD-quality photographs utilising an HD option on the image-sending window. The feature, however, is presently undergoing testing and will soon be made available to users with the upcoming updates.

The report also suggests that the users would only be able to high-quality images and not blurry, pixelated images using the feature.
