WhatsApp multi-account: WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature for its iOS app that would allow users to manage multiple accounts on a single device, as claimed by a feature tracker. This update aims to simplify account management, eliminating the need for users to carry multiple devices or have separate versions of WhatsApp for iOS. With multi-account support, users will likely be able to switch between different WhatsApp accounts easily through an intuitive interface.

Multi-Account Feature for WhatsApp on iOS

According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature tracker, the messaging platform is developing a multi-account option for a future iOS release. This feature was spotted in WhatsApp for iOS beta version 25.2.10.70. As the name implies, it will enable users to operate multiple WhatsApp accounts, whether personal or business, from the same iPhone.

A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo reveals that users will be able to add new WhatsApp accounts within the app settings. However, switching between accounts may require a restart of the app. Currently, users can access multiple WhatsApp accounts on one device through a workaround, typically by using a WhatsApp Business account for one of the profiles, even if it is not related to any business activity.

The new feature is still under development and, according to WABetaInfo, is not yet available to beta testers who have joined through Apple's TestFlight program. It is expected to be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks.

Interestingly, a similar multi-account feature was previously seen in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.17.8, where it was available to beta testers on the Google Play Beta program. However, not all features in development are guaranteed to reach public release, as WhatsApp continuously tests new options across different platforms.
