WhatsApp has already made it easier for users to communicate by adding voice and video calls that are safe and private. The platform is now working on a new in-app dialer to ease the calling procedure, particularly when contacting an unknown number that is not in your contact list. With this, Meta's instant messaging platform will compete with Google Dialer and Truecaller.

According to WaBetaInfo, the feature is currently spotted under Android beta version 2.24.9.28 but is yet to be rolled out for the beta testers. The report did not mention where the platform will be integrating the in-app dialer but it is expected that there will be a dialer shortcut around the call tab which will expand into a dedicated dialer.

This dialer will allow the users to call any contact number including those who are not in your contact list. The application will get all the contact information from your contact list but may not be able to get the details of the callers from your regular dialer application that you have on your Apple or Android phones.

Meanwhile, the instant messaging platform is also working on a new feature using which the users will be able to send photos or documents without any internet connection. The platform will be using the nearby share or quick share option to allow users to share files with the help of Bluetooth and connect the nearby devices.

However, the feature is presently in Android beta testing and may be available to users in the coming weeks as part of a new update. According to the source, the platform will seek for permission on your phone to access neighbouring devices, your phone's photo gallery, and your location, as well as connect with another phone and share data.
