GOOGLE recently announced the launch of its foldable - Google Pixel Fold and the latest entry-level - Pixel 7a during the Google I/O event. Though both phones gained massive media coverage, the question is - which phone does the boss of Google, Sundar Pichai get his hands-on every morning? The Alphabet CEO revealed this in an interview with Arun Maini on his YouTube channel - Mrwhosetheboss.
The CEO, during the conversation, revealed that he uses the Pixel 7 Pro as his primary device. Further, Pichai added he tests everything from Android to iOS. He tests Pixel devices before launch and their market appearance for the public. The CEO also said he extensively tested the newly announced Google's official entry into the foldable segment before its announcement, as per India Today.
What Pichai said?
“What phone do you use?" asked Arun. The Google chief replied, "Right now, it's the Pixel 7 Pro. But I'm testing, I use everything - from Samsung Galaxy to the new Pixel Fold to the iPhone." To accomplish this, he use multiple SIM cards.
Dark Mode and better cameras
On the question of dark vs light mode, Pichai replied, "dark mode on the average," and sometimes switches between both of them. Further, Pichai prefers a better camera matters more than a bigger battery. Lastly, the CEO opts for wireless charging over traditional wired methods.
When the host asked if he used the foldable phone, he confirmed that he was using the Fold. However, he favours a less bulky device and moves to his primary choice for daily activities. "If I'm just travelling and I'm busy in a day and all I'm doing is pulling out my phone and quick-checking email, I'm like, well, I'd rather take a lighter phone," he said.
Since the interview was uploaded, the video has garnered over 2.8 million views and 154K likes. Meanwhile, the Pixel Fold packs a 7.6-inch OLED main screen, Tensor G2, Android 13, 4,821mAh battery and 48MP + 10.8MP + 10.8MP rear camera setup. Other than the Fold, the company also announced the Google Pixel 7a.
