iPhone 17 Pro: The most anticipated smartphone launch of this year is just around the corner, with the expected launch date somewhere around mid-September. All eyes are on the Cupertino-based tech giant and the new lineup of the anticipated iPhone series. The rumour mill is continuously churning out supposed details of the anticipated devices, and even though nothing has been officially confirmed, these rumours give us a small glimpse into what the smartphones might sport this time.

From A19 Pro chips to a complete design overhaul, we have heard it all by now, but there is another leak that suggests a new and unique colour for the iPhone 17 Pro. We have already discussed that both the Pro models might come with a dark blue and orange colour in another article. This time it seems that Apple might be stepping up its game when it comes to colour schemes for its devices.

A Liquid-Glass Inspired Colour Might Be On The Table

The new leak, as shared by @theapplehub on X (Twitter), sourced from Instant Digital (Weibo), hints at a unique Liquid Glass-inspired colourway taking clues from the latest iOS 26. The post also says that the base colour will remain white, but the hues will change according to the light and angle of reflection. This does seem quite interesting, as it will be a first for iPhones to have a colourway that can change accordingly.

Is Apple Taking Cues From Its Competitors?

Although this colour-changing Liquid Glass design will be new for Apple, the market has already seen a few devices like this already. This year itself, Realme launched the 14 Pro Series 5G that comes with colour-changing back panels, although the key difference here, if the rumours hold true about apples new colour scheme, is the fact that Realme's 14 Pro Series changes colour when there is a difference in temperature, and from its base Pearl White colour, it turns blue when temperatures drop below 16°C.

But in Apple's iPhone 17 Pro, on the other hand, temperature difference will not make a difference; it will be light and the angle of reflection that causes the change, which is more versatile than temperature, as it would make the colour-changing scheme more dynamic.

However, these are just rumours – very exciting ones, to be honest – but nothing is officially confirmed, and we must tread carefully with these leaks, and we will have to wait for the actual launch to take place to know for sure, as we all know how tight-lipped Apple is about new and upcoming launches, so keep following us as we bring you the latest update.
