iPhone 17 Pro And iPhone 17 Pro Max: We have seen a tonne of big launches this year, from Samsung's flagship and foldables to the Nothing Phone 3, each company coming out with their best in the latest tech, and now all eyes are on Apple. The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to drop its flagship iPhone 17 series this time somewhere in September, if Apple decides to go with its conventional launch timeline, and this is building up to be one of the biggest tech launches to look forward to. Fans, enthusiasts and even its rivals are all waiting to see what's in store this time.

Dark Blue And Orange?

Apple is expected to go big on AI, and some design implements also seem to be on their way, and before the launch even takes place, we have yet another leak that has surfaced on the internet that suggests something new. According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by @theapplehub sourced from @SonnyDickson, the iPhone 17 Pro will reportedly be available in Dark Blue and Orange colour options.

 

It seems like Apple might be trying out something new this time with these distinct and bold shades for its new launches. Other rumours have also pointed towards the return of the Sky Blue colour option for the Air variant of the iPhone 17 series, but for now there are just rumours, and we must treat them carefully as nothing is officially confirmed by Apple for now.

Apart from this, there are leaked images by the same source, @SonnyDickson, which include a selection of camera lens protectors, which are basically covers designed to go around the iPhone's camera lens on the back. These leaked images also provide clues into what other colourways you might see this time with the iPhone 17 series.

 

Three sets of protective cases have emerged, and according to leaker Dickson, each one is designed to match the colour options of a different iPhone 17 model. This suggests Apple is once again tailoring accessories closely to each device variant, giving insight into the full colour lineup across the upcoming range.

iPhone 17 Colours

The standard iPhone 17 is expected to come in six colours: black, grey, silver, light blue, light green, and light purple. This range blends neutral classics with soft, pastel-inspired tones, aimed at appealing to a wide audience.

iPhone 17 Air Colours

The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly have four more refined shades. These include black, silver, blue-grey, and light gold, reflecting a sleeker and more elegant design language for the Air model.

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max Colours

The Pro and Pro Max models will feature five colour options: black, grey, silver, dark blue, and orange. Among them, orange stands out as a bold and unexpected choice. Dickson speculates that this could be paired with a new interpretation of dark gold or a copper-like finish, adding a distinctive edge to the premium lineup.

Expected Specs And Features

Apple is expected to power the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max with its next-gen A19 Pro chip, while the regular iPhone 17 might stick with the A18 chip seen in the iPhone 16. Memory is also set for an upgrade—12GB RAM could be on board the Pro Max, and even the lower-end models might see a bump to 8GB.

Slight improvements in battery capacity are likely, especially to accommodate the larger displays. Apple may finally bring 35W fast charging into the mix—a notable step up from current speeds. There’s also buzz around a vapor chamber cooling system for the Pro Max, aimed at delivering better sustained performance during extended high-intensity tasks.

Pricing and Launch Expectations

Apple is expected to stick to its usual pricing playbook for the Indian market. The iPhone 17 may launch around ₹79,999, consistent with recent base models. A new addition, the iPhone 17 Air, could slot in between the standard and Pro variants, likely priced around ₹89,999.

Although all of this sounds exciting, it's important to note that these changes are based on rumours and leaks, not official confirmations from Apple. Still, this lineup is shaping up to be one of Apple's biggest updates yet.
