iPhone SE 4 Launch Update: Tomorrow Apple is planning to host an event, and we all are anticipating the expected launch of the iPhone SE 4, which might just take place at the event tomorrow. If we are going to believe in rumors surrounding the iPhone SE 4 they suggest that Apple is planning a significant redesign for its upcoming budget iPhone. Gone are the thick bezels and compact design of the iPhone SE 3 — the SE 4 is expected to take design cues from the iPhone 14, with a sleek aluminium and glass build, flat edges, and possibly Apple’s Ceramic Shield for added durability. Instead of the usual Touch ID, Face ID is likely to replace it, aligning the SE model with Apple’s more recent iPhones. Plus, the display is set to feature slimmer bezels and a notch, similar in size to the iPhone 14.

In terms of screen size and quality, rumors tell us that the iPhone SE 4 might come with a 6.1-inch OLED display —  which would be a sizeable upgrade over the 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen that the predecessor had. This new display will be capable of delivering better contrast ratios, deeper blacks and more vibrant colors but the refresh rate would remain the same at 60Hz if we are to believe in leaks and rumors at all.

Under the hood, the SE 4 is anticipated to be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset — the same one found in the standard iPhone 16. However, some reports suggest that Apple may opt for the A17 Pro chipset instead, which would still provide excellent performance. Either way, it’s likely that this model will support Apple’s AI features, with both the A18 and A17 Pro supporting Apple Intelligence. If this turns out to be the case, expect at least 8GB of RAM, as that’s the minimum requirement to run Apple Intelligence.

In terms of photography, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to receive a major upgrade. Rumors point to a 48-megapixel rear camera, a significant jump from the 12-megapixel sensor on the SE 3. The front camera is also likely to be improved, with a 24-megapixel sensor for sharper selfies.

Battery life also looks set for a boost, with a rumored capacity of 3,279mAh. The iPhone SE 4 might also ditch the Lightning port in favor of a USB Type-C port and introduce MagSafe wireless charging for quicker charging speeds. Another intriguing possibility is the inclusion of an Action Button — similar to the one on the iPhone 15 series — which would allow users to customize shortcuts and functions.

Despite these exciting upgrades, the price will be a key factor. It’s expected that the iPhone SE 4 will be slightly pricier than its predecessor but still remain affordable for those on a budget. The base variant is rumored to be priced around Rs 49,900 in India, making it an attractive option for those seeking an iPhone without breaking the bank.
