Microsoft has unveiled 'Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23516' for the Dev Channel and now brings HDR background, improvements to the screen casting experience, voice access on startup, and adaptive dimming for presence sensor-enabled PCs. Additionally, several bugs have been fixed to enhance overall performance and user experience.
Enhanced HDR Background Support
Support for HDR backgrounds is one of the build's major additions. Users can set JXR files as their desktop background if they have an HDR display or a display connected to HDR. An HDR.JXR file will render in full HDR when chosen as the background, offering a breathtaking experience.
Improved Screen Casting Experience
For users who love multitasking, Microsoft is concentrating on improving the screencasting experience. An alert toast now offers options for screencasting when users switch between windows or use Snap Assist to arrange their screen space. Additionally, for a simple setup procedure, the business is providing step-by-step instructions in the Cast flyout of Quick Settings.
Voice Access
The update includes voice access from the very beginning. Users can now access various areas on the Lock screen and log in to their PCs using voice commands, providing a practical and hands-free interaction option.
