Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23511 to the Developer Channel, further refining the future Windows 11 OS. The most recent update brings about notable changes, giving users a preview of upcoming features and improvements through enhancing taskbar alerts and the Windows Spotlight experience.

One of the major modifications, according to a blog post by Windows Insiders, is how notifications appear in the system tray. Now that alerts are represented by a bell icon when fresh notifications are received, the bell will change to match the user's system accent colour, giving the Windows experience a little more customisation. The bell will be empty if there are no pending alerts and the system tray clock is displayed. In addition, notification counts won't be shown anymore, simplifying the taskbar's appearance.

A unified Windows Spotlight experience for users in the Dev Channel has been implemented as another feature in this preview edition. Users may preview photographs in full-screen mode with this new interface, which also offers several possibilities to learn more about each image and a minimised view for easy browsing. Users only need to right-click on the Spotlight icon on their desktop to gain access to the Windows Spotlight experience. A double-click on the icon will also immediately open a Bing landing page with more details about each image.

The tech giant has also addressed difficulties with camera streaming by introducing a useful pop-up conversation. Users will now be advised to open the automated Get Help troubleshooter if a camera streaming issue is found, such as a camera that won't turn on or a shutter that's closed. This new feature streamlines the process of fixing camera-related issues.
