Microsoft has officially confirmed a major update to the Xbox Home Experience will be released. The update will be available for all Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, to make it easier for gamers with the new user interface.

Microsoft emphasised in a recent blog post that the player is at the centre of the new Home experience. Users will find it simpler to discover intriguing new games, revisit cherished classics, interact with gaming groups, and create a gaming environment that suits their tastes, according to the company's statement.

The company will add a quick-access menu for the standout elements of the improved Home experience. The update makes it simple for users to access key locations including the Library, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, Search, and Settings, streamlining the user experience as a whole.

In addition, the update optimises screen space by using a streamlined design. The bottom of the screen will now neatly display recently played games along with other content and apps, making room for a more noticeable and customised background that reflects each player's taste and individuality.

The Friends & Community Updates row also receives significant improvements in the new Home experience. Players can now easily stay informed about the latest events and activities within their gaming communities, fostering a stronger sense of connection among Xbox users.

"This Home Experience improvement has been a true Team Xbox effort, involving the collaboration of engineers, designers, researchers, and many more," the company said in its blog post.

The rollout is underway, and the users who have not received it will have to wait for a few more weeks to get the new update.

Meanwhile, Xbox had earlier this month unveiled a new voice reporting function that allows users to record and report offensive in-game voice chats. The voice reporting function was being rolled out to Xbox Insiders in Alpha and Alpha-skip.

With thousands of titles offering in-game multiplayer voice chat, the functionality offers the widest range of player interactions. The business hopes that gamers will feel at ease joining any multiplayer discussion with the help of this functionality.
