X, formerly Twitter, which has been making a lot of changes to retain the huge user base, is reportedly rolling out a new feature which will allow users to hide their verified checkmarks from their profiles. The reports also suggest that after the rebranding, X Blue aims to introduce some more exclusive features for paid users. The feature could be useful for those who want to use the premium features without being called out as a paid user.

According to a report by TechCrunch, Elon Musk’s X has updated its ‘About’ section for the X Blue and has added “Hide Your Checkmark”. “You have the option to hide your checkmark on your account as a subscriber. The checkmark will not appear on your posts or profile. Some features and locations may still indicate that you have an active membership while others may still display the checkmark. While your checkbox is hidden, some features might not be accessible. To improve this function for you, we will keep developing it,” the report quoted About page.
