JE Technology Desk: From introducing a new brand logo X to features for Blue subscribers, Twitter has been in the news recently for several changes. And it seems the company does not want to stop, as the much-awaited option to download videos on Twitter is now available for Twitter Blue subscribers.

According to the Twitter Help Center, verified users can download select videos, and this feature is rolling out to iOS. The functionality for Android and web users will be live shortly, the microblogging app said. This update was shared in the "How to share and watch videos on Twitter" post.

As per the post, verified users can download playable media in select tweets for offline watching or using them to make new content. If a user wishes to opt-out, users can deselect the "Allow video to be downloaded" option when writing a tweet or posting a video. Videos posted before July 25 will not be available to download.

Further, the company adds that if an account owner is less than 18 years old, the download setting will be auto-disabled and will not be open to changes. Despite disabling the download option, users can share the video via the link.

Step 1: Head to the video you wish to download from Twitter

Step 2: Tap on the three dots placed on the top right of the player

Step 3: Tap "Download Video"

Once you upload a video in a tweet, tap on the "Edit" button at the bottom right of the media and then tap "Settings". "Tap next to Allow video to be downloaded to turn on or off," the Help Center states. A user must note that the settings to restrict downloads will not be editable in the future.

As for more updates on Twitter Blue, the current limit to upload videos for verified users is two hours which is not acting in favour of the platform. Since the announcement, users have been uploading full lengthy movies on Twitter.
