X Basic And Premium+ Subscriptions: Elon Musk's X, formerly called Twitter, has launched two new plans for users in India. These subscriptions sit next to the existing X Premium plan that starts from Rs 650 per month for web users. The new Basic and Premium+ offerings announced by X are available on the web at the time of filing.

According to @premium, the Premium+ plan offers zero ads in the For You and Following feed, the "largest boost" to replies (compared to other plans) and access to all creator tools. The Basic plan allows access to the "most essential features" of the paid subscriptions.

"Beginning October 27th, 2023, we now offer two new tiers: Basic and Premium+. In the coming weeks, we'll launch the ability to easily upgrade or downgrade your existing subscription tier. If you're interested in subscribing to a new tier, we recommend waiting for that launch," the X Help Center stated.

X Premium+ vs Premium vs Basic Plans

The most expensive offerings get features such as edit post, long post, undo post, longer video upload, top articles, reader, video playback in the background, video download, zero ads in For You and Following and largest boost to replies. The Basic tier lacks the largest reply boost and offers ads in the For You and Following feed.

As for the difference between X Premium and Premium+ plans, the mid-level plan offers half ads in For You (and Following) and lacks the largest boost for replies. The other benefits remain identical. All tools of the creator hub (monetisation for posts, creator subscriptions and web tools like X Pro, Media Studio and Analytics) are available in the top-tier subscription. The Basic plan lacks these features.

Verification and security features like SMS-based two-step verification, encrypted DMs, Blue checkmark and ID verification are available on X Premium+. The last two benefits (checkmark and ID verification) are lacking in the Basic plan. Customisation options such as app icons, bookmark folders, navigation customisation, theme, highlights tab and the option to hide likes tab, checkmark and subscriptions are there on all three plans.
