Elon Musk's X (formerly called Twitter) is improving at a rapid speed. To further enhance the user experience, the company is now borrowing a page from Facebook's book for its Communities feature. It is similar to Groups on Facebook that allow admins to examine members via questions before they can join a space.
The new feature will allow admins of private communities to ask a question to users before they can join the community and agree to the group's guidelines. These answers may help admins to decide on the question of whether to include an account in the community. Plus, it could help in moderating spam to some extent.
"Gatekeeping allowed - admins of private communities can now require people to answer a question first before being able to join," @X posted. According to TechCrunch, this will also allow Communities to enjoy a more exclusive class after admins examine the responses of prospective members.

In the screengrab shared in the post, the question "Why do you want to join this community?" with a few additional guidelines for members is visible. For comparison, Meta's feature allows admins to ask multiple questions and agree to set guidelines. They can even quiz members about the stated guidelines to validate if they have gone through them.
Unlike Facebook Groups, creating Communities on X is restricted to Premium verified users. However, all X accounts can join a community. On a related note, X engineer Frederik Lohner also shared new enhancements for Android users.
