Elon Musk's X (formerly called Twitter) continues to grab eyeballs in media reports for its endeavour to make the platform better for users. The Tesla CEO recently announced that video and audio calling on X will debut soon. In the latest update about the new feature for videos on X, an engineer from the company shared that an option that will improve the discoverability of videos on the platform is coming soon.

According to X News Daily, a reliable source for X-related news, staff engineer Edward Wang from X (@EdDaWord) shared that the company is looking forward to bringing something similar along the lines of a video tab for the profile. But it would not be a full-fledged video section. Responding to a user (@Mrbluecat123) on X, the engineer said.

"@EdDaWord, when are we going to get a video tab on profiles? It will help creators a lot," Mrbluecat posted on X. Replying to this, the staff engineer said: "Solution for that coming soon. Not a tab. But helps solve this problem," Ed said. The feature will aim to improve the discoverability of videos on the micro-blogging app.

Users on the platform have been adding their takes on this. While one believes a "video library or playlist" would serve the purpose, others requested a separate tab.

Latest X Video and Audio Calling Feature To Debut Soon

On a related note, Musk shared that video and audio calling on X will debut soon on the platform. This feature will arrive on platforms such as Android, iOS, Mac and PC. It would not demand a phone number to function, the X owner added. When a user (@teslaownersSV) questioned the billionaire whether they would be encrypted, he shared that in the beginning, they would not.

"But we will add the ability to turn encryption on or off dynamically. There is necessarily a slight lag for encryption. Most of the time, encryption isn't important and quality of call is better." @elonmusk posted. You can read more about this upcoming feature here.
